INDIA. Uma Sathyakam is currently with School of Electrical Engineering, VIT University where he is an Assistant Professor from December 2012 onwards. He is also pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Nanoelectronics in VIT University.
Prior to joining as Assistant Professor, he was a full time Research Associate in VIT where he completed his MS (by Research) in Microelectronics and VLSI in August 2012. Earlier, he did MSc. Applied Electronics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India and BSc. Electronics from University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, India.
His research interests include modeling, simulation, fabrication and Characterization of Carbon nanotube based VLSI\ULSI interconnects for ultra deep submicron technologies. He has further interests in thermal management in 3D ICs and future Graphene based nanoelectronic devices. He had recently published a review paper in CNT interconnects in Nano Communication Networks and has 4 papers in international journals and an IEEE conference paper to his credit. He is a Member of the IEEE.
